Popular telugu movies actress Priyamani has already starred in a few female-centric movies like Kshetram and Chaarulatha, and is successful in impressing the Telugu audience.Exactly one year after the release of Chaarulatha, she has now made her comeback to Tollywood with her latest woman-oriented movie Chandi (Chandee). V Samudra, who has written and directed the movie, has tried to tap out other side of the actress, which has not been shown on screen before.

Chandi is a revenge drama, which has all commercial elements to impress the mass audience.Priyamani's electrifying performance is the main highlight in the movie.The arresting screenplay and punch dialogues, Vasu's cinematography,NR Shankar and Chinna's background score, good comedy and action sequences are its other attractions. A few illogical scenes in the second half are its drawback.

A few movies have already been made on the theme of land acquisition scam.V Samudra has tried to throw light on this subject in the movie Chandi,which has cliched story and screenplay.The movie also touches upon the corruption in the present day political system. Besides this, the director has also included some mass elements like action and comedy, which make the film a good entertainer.

The first of the film Chandi is entertaining with a few comedy scenes. The director has included the anthyakshari scene from Gabbar Singh with a small change and it is quite enjoying.A twist in the story at the interval bang sets the viewers' mood for the second half, which is also interesting with a few action scenes. The climax is predictable, but is entertaining.
